Average income in 1925 was ~$5500. When corrected for inflation, this would come to ~$100,000 today. This is, because of inflation, $1 in 1925 was equal to ~$18.50 in today's money. Average income in 2020 was ~$67,500. And today, it is ~$84,000 which is better, but still below what it was a century ago. The average price for a single family house in 1925 was between $6,000 & $7500. Corrected for inflation, this comes to ~$110,000 & $140,000 in today's money. Today, the price range of a single family home is between $400,000 & $500,000.
