Average income in 1925 was ~$5500.
When corrected for inflation, this would come to ~$100,000 today.
This is, because of inflation, $1 in 1925 was equal to ~$18.50 in today's money.

Average income in 2020 was ~$67,500. And today, it is ~$84,000
which is better, but still below what it was a century ago.

The average price for a single family house in 1925 was between $6,000 & $7500.
Corrected for inflation, this comes to ~$110,000 & $140,000 in today's money.
Today, the price range of a single family home is between $400,000 & $500,000.

Did the military get paid today?
One of the most searched questions nationwide Wednesday was, "Did the military get paid today?"

The answer: yes.

According to the Pentagon and the White House Office of Management and Budget, all U.S. military and Coast Guard members should be receiving pay as scheduled on October 15. Officials said roughly $8 billion in existing federal funds were reallocated to ensure payments went through despite the shutdown.
