Article V of the Constitution of the United States reads as follows: “The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.” It is time to end big government forever and to restore power to the states by circumventing the DC swamp.

I am writing to request your assistance in moving forward H ####, the resolution calling for an Article V Convention of States. The times in which we are living are literally the reason this Article was created; the federal government is increasingly overreaching its authority seemingly in all arenas of life. They are supposed to protect our borders, our rights, and our freedoms. Constitutionally, if memory serves, I believe they are only allowed to operate in 18 described arenas. That is all.

We the people have an historic opportunity at a convention to limit these excesses and return power and funds to state and local governments by sending commissioners from the 50 statehouses to meet in Congress without the (R)/(D) DC swamp present to debate a previously agreed upon limited set of amendments, then go back and vote on them in the respective statehouses along with their fellow legislators thereby bypassing the DC swamp who would never limit their own powers without our interceding, but rather only expand them exponentially.

As you are aware, delegates will be chosen by you the state legislature. There are strict limits on the issues to be discussed. Those issues are imposing fiscal restorations on Washington, limiting federal scope and jurisdiction, and setting term limits for federal officials. That is all that is on the table.

It will take 34 states to call for a convention and 38 states to pass any Amendments. To be clear, this a very difficult process. It is not enough just to get the attention of the swamp. Failure is not an option. The alternative is the obliteration of the American way of life in our time. The process has already begun. Things are not the way they used to be not all that long ago. Only people with blinders on cannot see that this is true, and if the swamp and their friends at the UN have their way, America will be fundamentally altered by 2030. International digital currency is a truly frightening thought.

I frankly cannot fathom why every legislator in every statehouse is not on board with this. It takes power and funds away from DC returning them to state and local officials where they rightly belong.

Thank you for your time and attention. Any assistance you can offer on moving this bill forward is appreciated.
