- Took a minute but just finished cancelling AT&T and Direct TV. My wife is disabled and has a very hard time adjusting to anything new due to her condition and medication. - I work a little part time job as Maintenance at a local resort. I went to a Villa to fix a TV and a nice Lady was there. I showed her how to press "TV" on the remote to watch "TV". As I was leaving a Dude- who just parked his corvette next to me says--"Be careful your door doesn't hit my car". I ignored him till he said "Did you hear me?" - I heard a preacher ask this today. I think it came from a song in the play Hamilton is what he said. It struck me because I am old and have had this conversation with anyone who would listen. It fell on deaf ears. Not because they don't care but because they are so wrapped up in Now and Me that they are in denial as to the future. Seriously--"When you die-Who is going to tell your story"? Anyways--My Male German Shepherd just walked in to my kitchen-looked me dead in the eye--stepped on the trash can lever-opened the can and got him a piece of stale pizza. Just like when I found condoms in my boy's back pack--I was stuck in that Daddy world between pissed off and proud.
