Hi, welcome to anchored in Oklahoma. Thank you so much for joining me out here. I'm out here in broken error outside of Tulsa. Thank you for listening.

Please show this with your friends and family and like the little bell there on so on the different platforms because that will help us move up and the rankings. As we are doing our tenth episode here and yes, I'm still putting together how to do this because I don't want to spend so much time on politics. The reason why I have a few questions for you to start with, how are politicians like diapers? They both need to be changed regularly and for the same reason. What do you what's the difference between a gun and a whiney liberal? A gun only has one trigger.

So politics at the national level is a circus. And I know I've been saying this a lot, but unfortunately we have to cover some of the stories. But I want to get to the sports stuff because that's more fun. Because my Minnesota Vikings that I've been following on and off since nineteen seventy five.

Seventy four to seventy five. Might actually have a chance of winning the Super Bowl this year. But we'll find out what you think about that. If you want to get more information on what I'm doing over here, go to anchored in Oklahoma dot com.

You can also email me at Eric at anchored in Oklahoma dot com. One of the stories I wanted to covern and not a surprise. Who do you think? This is an honest question. Who do you think has been running the Oval Office? Who has been the actual president the last three and a half years.

Who do you think it's been? Who has been Jill Biden, Barack Obama, China or sleepy Joe. We'll put some polls up on the website here pretty soon because we're also going to be getting into two like history and culture, because I want to know who you think, For example, who do you think is the best basketball player that ever lived? What was the best Star Wars movie, et cetera. Best music in the eighties if you were a live back then. But one thing that I'm seeing around here on by our NC research, Joe Biden and Jill Biden.

You know they decided now they're going to go on vacation till after the first year to Saint Croix Us, Virgin Islands at taxpayer's expense. How what percentage of the presidency has Joe Biden spent at a beach or on vacation. Nearly forty percent of Joe Biden's time in office has been spent in his chase lounge. But is that a surprise.

Literally, Biden has spent five hundred and seventy days out of three and a half coming on four years, nearly forty percent of his vac of his presidency. This time, he is going to end his failed term in office in a billionaire's home in Saint Croix. You wonder if he owes that, if that guy is maybe trying to buy a few favors, wink wink. I'm a conservative independent.

I've kind of stuck because I don't really have a party, and even the GOP now has been going is becoming liberal on social issues, So I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Joe's eighty two, and now they bore. Him and his first daughter, Ashley Biden and Jill, who I guess is according to some articles, is trying to get Joe to actually burn down everything, the whole structure that he has access to in the executive branch. But Joe is going to He's fine off to hang out with the billionaire, even though they've been criticizing former President Trump in number forty seven to be President Trump for his affiliations with people they've been criticizing the progressives.

I've been criticizing Clarence Thomas and Justice Alito for having wealthy friends. But it's okay for. Sleepy Joe, which he has a terrible approval rating from all sides of the aisle. But unlike President Donald Trump, who normally regularly stays at his own properties, especially during his first term, you know, since then he's been running around.

But I'm expecting in a second term he'll i regularly state his own properties when he flies around in vacations. But Biden has sought out unpaid stays with prominent supporters. The Nevills, this time operate the US Viking Software Company, which makes online content platform called ESPs, marketed by the Associated Press and used by news outlets. That's always good have your chief executive officer hanging out with a billionaire that owns a company marketed by the AP.

And August Biden spent five days for free at the sprawling California ranch of medical technology billionaire Joe Keani, whose substantial government contracts during the Biden administration. An appointment by Biden to an advisory board drew Republican outcry, and last August, Biden spent nine days at a billionaire climate investor, Tom Steyer's waterfront Lake Tahoe retreat in Nevada. I really don't care where Joe spends his last couple weeks as long as he's leaving. But I have to believe Joe is going to have to pardon himself before he leaves office unless he's declining faster than what maybe we know, or he believes that President Trump wouldn't really go along with a pursuit of the Bidens.

But Joe's on vacation nearly forty percent. Now. One of the things that the Trump team is really pushing with Homan, the borders are to be Tom Homan is mass deportation. But what the Left has been doing is they have been rejecting detainer request from ICE, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

So I'm not going to get into the degory details. But this illegal alien who burn a woman to death on the subway in New York City has been indicted from murder so ICE. Since he's illegal alien sent over a detainer request and said, if he ever is going to get out, we want to be notified so we can get him. But New York City, you know what they said about Sebastian debate, the pedo the nuts that was entered the country several times illegally.

New York City saying, now this guy that was a previously deported legal alien from Guatemala who entered the country in June of twenty eighteen, that guy, the New York City Department of Corrections said, now, we are not going to honor the detainer, and it's because it's per current policy. So if the monster ever was to get out as of right now, if he was to get out, then New York City would not tell ice and he would just go right back into the community. So this is a. Problem when you have godless people and you have people who don't care about anything but power.

In control that you don't care well. Current majority leader sentiment Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer, he's briggan that you know what. We've been lining up. Our plan has been for three and a half years.

We've done all we can to get as many far left wacky judges in the appeal courts and around the judiciary. We've lined up Democrats hoping that they could if Harris would have want or Biden could have made sure that their radical Marxist transformation of our country would go through. Now they're hoping. Schumer said in an interview to Politico this week, quote I don't know exactly what he or what Trump will do, but I tell you this, the judiciary will be one of our strongest, if not our strongest, barrier against what he does.

Unquote. Later in the interview, he. Said it, Uh, summary, Republicans came up with the strategy you know, in the board in the George W. Bush years, and we've got to control the bench, and they made every every effort.

Is so because the Republicans did this during George W. Bush's years, it's something that we're doing now. And and this this is this is what they believe, which they don't, but they've Schumer and the radicals, the leftists which would believe, Oh, we're just trying to make sure that we slow down the restoration of traditional America and the and the and the the reassertion of the judiciary to fall in line with the parameters and the limits that they have constitutionally now we can't have that. So we're just going to hope that these judges we put in would be able to say unconstitutional if if there if Trump tries to is no now block block block and saw them down.

So we have by non vacation, we have New York City saying we're not going to honor your request Ice, and we have Schumer saying and our judges can hopefully stop the government from functioning properly through bills initiated. In the House, sent over to the Senate, back. And forth until they agree up to the presidency for signature. Now, we don't want that.

We just want everything to just limp along until the next elections because we're going to do continuing resolutions, which means they don't have to pass the budget. And we don't want to have any type of significant stoppage of the massive flow of illegal aliens from around the world. As as an American, we should not tolerate this. And this is why people get angry.

And I'm not going to be angry about these things. I'm just telling you what's happening, because what you're going to see is when President Trumps swears in on January twentieth, the executive orders are going to start coming out in huge numbers out of the White House. And they're already the left, the Marxist, whatever you want to call on the progressives, they're already lining up their lawsuits for specific things that they think Trump's going to do to try to cause this division and try to try to get families that they know will be targeted because they're in the country illegally for deportation. Try to find the mom with three children and they're living in a small home in Los Angeles and they home they went too back in Mexico has been taken over by cartel, and any person that was to get deported back to.

Their nation would just be like monstrous. So what do we do again? You and I in your state, get involved locally, get involved at the state level. And let your. Representatives it's our constitutional republic, your House members, US House members, and senators, and make sure they speak for you here in Oklahoma.

I haven't been to that long, but we got. To get rid of Lansford Langford and we've got we've we've just got to get people representing us in the national stage that actually represent us because we are looking at a significant U turn think about it. Our nation has been marching toward the World Economic Forums United Nations twenty thirty, great reset type of situation, and all of a sudden, now there's going to be like trying to take the wheel and turn it, and there's going to be all this tension and tension on the steering column and everything, and there's going to be all these people, No, don't do it right. So we need just we We can only do so much at the state level.

You and I have very little influence, but we have a enough influence that using our rights under the Constitution of Bill of Rights and voting and influence in organizing, that we should be involved. And that is all I. Want to say on the political side, So anchor down on that. Okay, Now over to sports.

What's going on with sports? If you are someone that's into sports. I used to follow a lot of sports until Michael Jordan. He became a like a Toronto Wizard or something when he owned part of him. But I've actually been out of pro basketball since Michael Jordan, who I believe is the greatest basketball player in history.

But we will discuss that on another podcast. In California, we had U c l A and you you know, and the with the Bruins, and we had the Trojan USC and then the Golden Bears whatever up in Carl State whatever up there are using a. University of California. But I'm remember growing up in Iowa that Oklahoma I was always because I had the Iowa Hawkeyes, but we didn't have a sports team, and in Oklahoma didn't have a professional football team, so so I was kind of a Hawkeye fan, but I was really more like into Florida State because before college football players started being able to get paid as they play college football for free on scholarships and it can transfer.

It's the NCAA has destroyed college football is as far as I'm concerned. Because the schools that have the biggest donor class and have the biggest what do you call it, and he just got billions of dollars stored up, they can buy the best players. So Oklahoma Sooners they were always one of my favorite under Barry Switzer and uh got that tall linebacker so a lot of time I think Barry Sandras was from Oklahoma State. But the Sooners.

They joined the Southeast Conference in the Southeast Conference are just it is a league of studs. Well, Oklahoma, they went from we can we can join the conference, we can be competitive two in the conference, two and six. It's their first year. I mean they have a record of six and six.

They're going to what some Air Force Bowl or some bowl coming up postseason, the versus Navy. They're going to be on what they're going to be on the. Oh arm Armed Forces Bowl. Okay, so actually it looks like well, you know what looks like it was today? Right? Navy wins Armed Forces Bowl after nighting oklahom Sokoma lost the bowl game.

It looks like today yep, So what's up with that? Well, the reason why, the reason why they're struggling is because they went from an average conference into the toughest conference. And I don't know how they can recruit the talent. To do much better. But US Sooner fans, now that I live here, I'm a Sooner fan of the three schools.

But boy, they had a tough year. In the SEC. So we shall see. But that's what's going on with football here with the Sooners.

Okahoma State, they're not doing much better. Man a fact, they're just terrible. Big twelve. Twenty twenty four Cowboys are three and nine.

How's that possible? Because it's so competitive. So Sooners at least are well not lost. So now I guess there's six and seven, two and six in the conference. So Oklahoma State three and nine.

I don't know how you get any recruits of worth anything, So they're probably gonna have a tough next year. But I don't worry about the Golden Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. They're gonna well, no, they actually three and nine this year. Now what's interesting if I've lived in Texas and Oklahoma, now we love football, But because like I said, because of what has become of college football, I just don't know how states like you know, Oklahoma, Missouri, Midwestern states, South Midwestern states are gonna be able to do much about it.

Who is who is your favorite baseball team? One of these? In the next couple of days we'll do I'm gonna do polling on that so we know. So I want to know who you think the best basketball player in history has been best best player, best baseball team? And I don't I don't really follow I don't really follow of football too much in the NFL. I know the Chiefs are probably your favorite, but I'm more I'm more concerned with the state level, and I'm hoping that we can turn this around. So that's kind of an overview.

With all the other sports you can. You can research it, but I have too much. I don't have enough time in my schedule to go through that. But I did want to end this podcast on where are the best places to live in Oklahoma? Where do you live? There's several sources here which actually, you know what.

I'm wrong. Let me back up for a second. My Vikings, see, they've been they have not. They've let me down so many times I forgot about them.

Well, according to even the Minnesota papers, in the Green Bay Papers, the Packers and the Vikings are headed toward a historic, never before seen chapter in the rivalry's long running history. I grew up in Iowa, so I know they do not like each other. The Packers are eleven and four and the Vikings are thirteen and two. Never been four in the sixty four years of the Packers Viking serious that both teams entered the matchup with eleven or more wins, and the combined twenty four wins between the two teams represents the most entering irregular season matchup, so they're calling this the NFC North.

Now if the Vikings see if the Vikings win, then they most likely will get the coveted number one seed in the first round. By now, think about this, the Vikings of the Packers, they're not even leading their division. The Detroit Lions are. Crazy.

So I just wanted to bring this up because I want to boast in my Vikings if they actually win the Super Bowl. We had I think we had a chance. Now I'm not talking about back in Fran Tarkenton and Chuck Foreman and all those guys. We should have beat the Raiders.

We lost to Kenny Stabler long time ago. But I think I can't tell you when fifteen years ago, long time ago. The Vikings had a good shot, I thought, and all they had to do is beat the Atlanta Falcon and they missed like a twenty yard field goal and they blew it. Then the general manager, I thinks that same was Glenn.

He gave Way all of their talent for herschel Walker and he blew it. So then they went and they got Prett Farr from them, the from the Packers, and he couldn't get it done, so I'm hoping my Cubs finally won, so maybe now my Vikings can finally win. And if Oklahoma ever got a pressional football team, then I would that'd be a tough one for me because I've been a Vikings fan since Mini mini decades. All Right, best places to live in Oklahoma according to various polls and people's comments, according to my globalviewpoint dot com, here is what some of the people are telling them and this is what they're calculating.

So for those of you listening in Oklahoma, or if you're considering moving to Oklahoma, here is some things you might want to know. Now, I don't know all the cities, but I know most of them. Okay, for the best small town charm if you're looking to move to the resoner state, Alva Alva, located in northwest Oklahoma, is a hidden gym. And then Dallay one of the best places to live in Oklahoma, Stay saying it's as small This small town brims with charm and a strong sense of community.

Alva. What else we got here? Big sp bixb. Is on the banks of the Arkansas River, and this magne this place is saying it is one of the coolest places to live in Oklahoma. It is south of Tulsa.

I go through there frequently. They're saying, it's a right mix of country charm and suburban convenience, and it's only a short drive from Tulsa. The community's farming routes are celebrated in a big way here at events like the Green Corn the Ball, so Bixby is very popular, it's growing, and all the housing's very affordable. Here in Oklahoma.

In these areas. Broken Arrow, where I live, they're saying it's third. I think it's number OUNU. That's why I'm starting BA Deals will be an app that you can get all the deals that people want to offer on one location in Broken Arrow.

But Broken Arrow is, according to this is a unique blend of city excitement and suburban peace. At ranks ranking it among the highest among the best places live in Oklahoma. What you have is you have I live in the Rose District, downtown part, so you've got You've got the kind of the thirty forty to fifty sixty year old homes and they're getting retroed. But you have a lot of growth as people are moving to the city, moving out, going east and so you have it like a little bit of an eclectic area, but in general it is a Bible haven, gun loving, traditional family community.

About one hundred and thirty thousand people. Very popular. High school's huge if you're they if you if your children are into band, very good. The football team is no bueno.

Edmund out outside of Oklahoma City, is very popular to me. I according to this it's a it's great schools and a strong economy makes it a place where america dreams comes true. I we looked into Edmond, and it's not for wasn't for us. It's too much like a Texas city, growing too fast to crowded.

But if you want to go to a place that is hoppin', check out Edmund, Oklahoma, Ford Gibson. Steeped in history and natural beauty, This town is one of the good places to live in Oklahoma, according to my global viewpoint dot com. I don't know exactly where that is. I'm sorry, but they're saying it's pretty good place to live in.

The town's heritage is celebrated to well preserved architecture and local museums that tell the story of Oklahoma's early days. For outdoor enthusiasts for Gibson Lake is a haven for fishing, boating, and lakeside picnics. Check it out. Goldsby Stone throw away from the busing energy of Norman Lies Norman Oklahoma University Lies Goldsby, a tranquil haven that many call the best areas to live in Oklahoma.

Goldsby Jinks back over here to Tulsa. So you've got Bixby South Tulsa. You got Jinks right over the river west of Tulsa, growing like crazy. It's where the Oklahoma Aquarium is beautiful.

There's there's a mountain I think Turkey Mountain. I don't know that's Tulsa or but there's it's a beautiful area. That main street lined with vintage shops and boutiques, just kind of like the Rose District main street. Here in Broken Arrow, the schools are are very well rated.

So it's Big Spy's all the schools here in the Tulsa area, the big Ones, Janks, Big Spy and UH and Broken Arrow Rock. Uh. Tulsa is struggling very badly, which is why they almost lost their accreditation, So. Be aware.

UH. Nichols Hills epitomizes elegance. And exclusivity. It's ranked one of the top places.

Uh look it up again. I'm sorry, I don't know where that one is. All the lists are a little bit different. Looks like too too much money for me.

Norman. It's where the college is. It is growing and they're investing a lot of money in the city. And the Wasso.

Is north of Tulsa, and it's it's it's a good place to live. Real estates. Even cheaper schools are doing well. So Wasso is good.

So I noticed most a lot of the cities in the top list are all in this Tulsa metro area that is booming. If I go over to nish dot com, here are some of the comments from people on here. There's a Edmund they're saying it for them, it's the number one place. Janks in one review, Fort Gibson run review Norman one big speed nor Broken Arrow was so amazing.

Huh Bartersville. That's on the west side too of Tulsa. Stillwater, I don't think so. But if you like, uh, you can check out still Water.

It wasn't for me. My daughter lived there. Yukon in Tulsa. Not a big Tulsa fan.

Maybe South Tulsa's not too bad. I'm not a fan of Oklahoma City, you might like it, So those are you can check them out. There seems to be pretty consistent ratings of the cities. But if you if you love America, if you love God, if you love your guns, if you love community, if you love traditional values, all those cities.

Will work out perfectly fine for you. Like I said, for me, the Oklahoma City Edmund area is more kind of texas Ish. Get up here to Tulsa, Broken Arrow drinks big speed. This area wassow you're getting more into kind of just like a thriving, kind of almost Midwestern vibe to it, where people ab upward mobility.

Housing is still relatively cheap, and people are are just living life and not having to be somebody to be happy. So if you have in, if you're interested in coming to toll to to Oklahoma, and have any questions, all if I can't answer them, I will guide you to people who can. But if I can summarize Oklahoma as someone who's been to thirteen countries and I lived in several states, Oklahoma is a place where people want to be left alone. They want to be able to work hard, to get ahead, but they also want to be able to work a good blue collar job to continue the life they're multiple generations have established.

But in general, people are nice, they're courteous, they understand basic civics how the community should function, and. You're welcome here. If you don't want to come and try to change it, okay, that we're not looking for. At all.

So again, focus on local, focus on states, and let's tolerate the federal government as we watch the deconstruction hopefully taking place under the Trump administration. This has been anchored in Oklahoma. My name is Oric Thompson. You have a great day again.
