al-Bara took hold of Muhammad’s hand and swore “We are warriors who have inherited the right to bear arms. If Allah aids you to victory, will you abandon us?” Muhammad replied “Blood is blood. By shedding it, you belong to me and I to you.”

Muhammad said “I shall fight those whom you fight. You are to me as the disciples of Jesus were to Him.”

They pledged themselves to Muhammad to wage war against all. Muhammad promised them paradise. Allah gave Muhammad permission to wage war. The promise to fight became a condition to all who gave allegiance to Islam.

Allah therefore permitted Muhammad and his followers to fight. Since permission to fight had been granted, Muhammad accepted allegiances only from people who swore to fight. And for this, he promised them paradise as a reward.

Allah instructed the Muslims to kill the infidels wherever they found them. Besiege them wherever they may be. But if they pay you, set them free. No infidel can enter paradise.

Muhammad said to the Muslims “Fear no infidel. Rather fear Allah. Attack the infidels! Allah desires to punish them by your hand. Put them to shame and Allah will give you victory over them.”

Muhammad said “Allah promised recompense to the Muslims who fought by assigning taxes to be paid by the Jews and the Christians.” He spoke of the wickedness and superstition of those who lived by the Old and New Testaments.
