When the time comes, the 6+ thousand various police agencies within the USA will have to make a critical decision, whether to back the Rebel Alliance or to back the Galactic Empire.

And I do not say this in jest.

All police agencies will have to decide whether they stand with the people or with the government. They will have to decide if they will passively allow or actively oppose or actively assist the cause of freedom.
