A federal judge just cleared the way for the Trump administration to end deportation protections for Ethiopian migrants. The Boston judge lifted a hold on the decades-old Temporary Protected Status program after DHS determined conditions in Ethiopia had improved enough to end the protections. The ruling means Ethiopian nationals covered by TPS could now lose their ability to legally live and work in the U.S.
It’s also the latest win for the administration’s TPS rollback after the Supreme Court allowed similar moves involving Haiti and Syria
