When the 2nd Arab Oil Embargo began in November of ‘78, gas sold for ~70 cents/gal. By the time it was over in January of ‘81, gas was selling for ~$1.35/gal. That is slightly less than a 100% increase over the course of 27 months. When Slow Joe & the ‘Ho were sworn into office in January of ‘21, gas sold for ~$2.50/gal. 15 months later, gas was selling for ~$4.50/gal. This is an increase of just under 100%. And gas was still selling for $3.65 a gallon in April of 2023.
