Local Hindus are very upset about this but have little clout within Peterborough Council, which is dominated by Islam. The DT article is broadly sympathetic with the poor old Hindus but fails to forensically delve into the matter for the reason, one supposes, of not wishing to alienate Islam. Hence this article y’ere.
