If it is inherently unfair for men to compete against women in sporting events, then women are unfit for the military or the police.

The men’s 100 meter sprint record time is ~10 seconds. And the women’s record time for this is ~1 second longer. In a head to head contest, she would still have ~33 feet to go when he crossed the finish line.

The men’s marathon record time is ~2 hours. The women’s record time is ~10 minutes longer. In a head to head contest, she would still have ~2.25 miles to go when he crossed the finish line.

If men do not belong in competition with women in sporting events, then women do not belong in the military or police.

When the competitors are in the same weight class, the men’s weightlifting records are between 22 & 132 pounds more than the women’s. For the clean & jerk, as well as the snatch, it’s not until you get to the women in the #192 class who can equal the men in the #132 class.

Men shouldn't compete against women in sporting events for exactly the same reason why women don't belong in the military or on the police force.

The men's long jump record is 4'11" longer than the women's. Stated another way, the men's long jump record is 20% (1/5th) longer than the women's.

For the pole vault, the men's record is 4 ft more than the women's. The length or thickness of the pole depends on the vaulter's skill, speed, height, & preferences. Shorter poles are generally easier to use, while longer poles allow vaulters to go higher if they maintain good technique. The choice of pole is left to the vaulter.

The same argument for prohibiting men from competing in women's sporting events can be made for excluding women from the military or police.

As for a test of agility, there is always slalom skiing. The men’s Olympic record is ~5 seconds faster than the women's. The drop for the men's course is ~650 ft. over a run of ~quarter of a mile. The drop for the women's course is ~500 ft. over a run of ~fifth of a mile. The men are moving at ~50 mph, while the women are moving at ~40 mph. And the women also have proportionately fewer gaits to clear. In a head to head competition, she would still have ~75 ft to go on her shorter course when he completed his longer course.

The same argument for men not being allowed to compete in women's sporting events can be made for excluding women from the military or police force.

As for Olympic swimming times, the men's records are faster than the women's by 3 seconds for the 50 meter freestyle, 6 seconds for the 100 meter, & 10 seconds for the 200 meter freestyle.

In a head to head competition, she would still have ~23 ft, ~46 ft, & ~66 ft to go as he finished.
