We failed to properly identify our enemy 24 years ago.
We were not attacked by the Taliban or al-Qaida or Boko Haram or al-Shabaab or ISIS or the al-Aqsa Martyr's Brigade or Hezbollah or Hamas.
We were attacked by, & are still at war with, Islam - whether we want to acknowledge it or not.

We are not at war with Terrorism.
We are not at war with Extremism.
We are not a war with ISIS or the PLO.
We are not at war with Hamas or the Taliban.
We are not at war with Hezbollah or Boko Haram.
We are not at war with al-Qaeda or the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade.
We are at war with Islam. Or at least Islam is at war with the rest of us Buddhist, Christian, Confucian, Hindu, Jewish, Sikh, & Zoroastrian infidels.
