Greenland is becoming a much bigger NATO security issue — and the United States is expanding its military footprint without changing who owns the island.

On September 22, the United States, Denmark and Greenland signed a new security agreement that expands the U.S. military presence in Greenland. The arrangement is expected to add two sites — Narsarsuaq in southern Greenland and Mestersvig in the east — alongside the existing Pituffik Space Base.

Why does Greenland matter so much?

    Because of its geography.

Greenland sits between North America and the Arctic, making it strategically important for the security of the North Atlantic and the wider Arctic region. The island also has significant mineral resources, adding an economic dimension to its growing geopolitical importance.

The key change is not simply more American infrastructure.

It is the framework around it.

Denmark says the agreement places Arctic security more firmly within NATO rather than leaving responsibility solely to Washington and Copenhagen. NATO has welcomed the arrangement as contributing to security, stability and cooperation in the region.

For Washington, expanded access strengthens its ability to maintain a military presence in a strategically positioned Arctic territory.

    · BREAKING: PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP JUST ANNOUNCED THIS:
Trump says the United States has reached a major new agreement with Denmark and Greenland giving America permanent authority to handle its security needs in Greenland.
    According to Trump:
The U.S. can expand its military presence in Greenland
U.S. adversaries will be blocked from establishing military bases there
Sensitive foreign investments can be restricted
Trump says the agreement will cost the United States NOTHING
Trump described it as an “Infinite Life” agreement, writing:
    “There is no end!”
The agreement would dramatically expand America’s long-term security role in one of the most strategically important regions of the Arctic. Denmark and Greenland say the arrangement does not transfer sovereignty over Greenland to the United States, and formal signing and parliamentary approval are still expected.
    This is a major development.

  • “Over 1 Million White European Slaves” Britain’s Forgotten History
    https://youtu.be/QEjrxPuLx-o?si=n8lequxsWP1qf85t
In this episode of The Winston Marshall Show, I sit down with historian and History Debunked creator Simon Webb to uncover the forgotten story of the Barbary Corsairs and the white European slave trade. We discuss how Muslim raiders from North Africa captured Europeans from England, Ireland and across the continent, attacked coastal towns, seized ships and even established a base on Lundy Island. We explore the Ottoman Empire’s role, Oliver Cromwell’s military response, Britain’s decision to pay tribute, America’s Barbary Wars, and the 1816 bombardment of Algiers that freed Christian slaves. Finally, we turn to the decline of Christendom, Britain’s changing relationship with its own history, the retreat of Christianity, the rise of Islam in Europe, and whether the West has forgotten the civilisation it inherited.
