In 1934, Article 121 was added to the criminal code for the entire Soviet Union which expressly prohibited homosexuality, with up to 5 years of hard labor in prison for those convicted of such an offense. The mayor of Boston has been a Democrat since 1930. Democrats hold all of the seats on the Boston city council. 90% of their state senators are Democrats, & 85% of their state house reps are Democrats.
