We'll be alocked to go over here on this podcast as we're going to be covering some of the trendy news and I want to give you some updates on what we're going to be doing moving forward here at the Eric Thompson Show.

Why does the United States of America and why do we the people spend so much time focusing on Ukraine? Why do we spend so much time focusing on Syria? Why are we why are we gazing overseas into conflicts and into internal struggles happening throughout Asia, Africa, Europe. Why do why do we the people allow our government and even not stand up to the millions of Americans that are supporting those politicians and saying, what are we going to do about Syria? What are we going to do? What are we going to do? What about China? What about Taiwan? I'm just as I every time I hear people speaking, it's like the United States of America, for some reason, is still considered the global authority, and I don't understand it. Yes, I served in the Marine Corps.

Yes I was sent over to Desert Storm. Yes, I understand World War Two when Hitler was after our main ally the British. But why did we go to Vietnam? Why were we in Korea? What did that have to do when with US there's a lot of water between US and Asia, There's a lot of water between US and Europe and Africa. I can understand if there's things happening in South America, and I can understand if there's things happening north of US.

But the news, there's some good news, but the fact that the Democratic Party, the fact that the rhinos in the Republican Party. The warmongers are still double minded looking over what happened in New York with the Daniel Penny verdict. What happened? Who is this guy that killed the executive in New York City? Who are the nominees that Trump is trying to put in? But what's happening in Syria? Should we send more money to Ukraine? Well, let's let's try to advance gender affirming care to children. It's it's a it's just this huge, confusing hodge podge of lack of focus from our government and from and from we the people that understand that the United States of America is struggling.

We are massively in debt. Our kids are failing in the schools. Abortions are even higher than before the passing of the Roe or the ending of Roe and the Roe v. Wade decision.

We do have children that have been mutilated and are continuing to be mutilated in quote unquote medical clinics and hospitals around the United States of America. Housing is very expensive, inflation's high. Betteran sleeping on the streets, homelessness growing, people that are that are no longer even exposed to the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, because they're so filled up with the noise of TikTok and social media. So there's all there's all these things that are festering in our country.

There's liberals that have been celebrating the fact that the executive did get killed from the insurance Agency. We'll get to that, but I think we've got to come to this realization that we need to focus on us, our families, our communities, that we need to be focusing on our national debts, our security, our health care, and not spending hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars to a corrupt group of oligarchs and Russian leftovers in Ukraine, which Russia's and when they when Trump negotiates us with Zelenski, that Russia would have taken land and we spent we gave Ukraine a lot of money that was blown but also was used to kill a lot of Russians. So the Russians and killed a lot of Ukrainians because Kamala Harris went and got putin freaked out by saying that the United States was behind Ukraine joining NATO, So it freaked everybody out. So let's focus and let's focus inside our borders for once.

Would that be great if we could focus here? And and I know some of you are going no, But we are the we are the the the authority. We are we are responsible for the safety of the world. Why well, because and here here is that. Here is the interesting I hear that, I hear the double mindedness all the time.

Well, because we're Christians. What's that have to do. What's that have to do with getting involved in Syria? Well, there's people being killed. Okay, there's missionaries in Syria, and there's missionaries throughout the world.

But those governments have been put in by their people or or have not been overthrown by the people. So thus you have dictators, and you have you have murders, and you have you have godless governments, and so you have corruption. So so somehow we that we are in a boat that's leaking with we're sinking slowly with our debt and our declining morality and everything else. And all of a sudden, now it's like, well, we're gonna have President Trump and some and his team come in now and try to restore America.

While the liberals who already have their their judge shopping, and they're getting ready to already bring the lawsuits as students as soon as Trump starts to get some of his agenda done, which he will get a lot of it done, I believe. But we have a battle. It's like if you remember the old Rocky movies, Rocky had to deal with Apollo Creeter, whoever's in front of him. He couldn't have been worried about what was happening over in Mexico or over in Russia.

He had a fight. He had one person in front of him to fight. Let's focus on America, all right, some of the good news today. This one surprises me a little bit, except that it looks like the jury in New York City did the right thing.

Daniel Penny, the Marine Corps veteran, who Alan Braggs, the Soros District attorney, was trying to put in jail for stopping a drug induced, mentally ill subway writer named Jordan Neely from intimidating, threatening and maybe would have caused bodily harm to people on the subway. So he intervened, and the people are like, thank you. But then the Soros left came in and said, oh, how dare you killed that innocent black man on the train. You are responsible.

We're charging with second degree matts mattslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. And people like, what are you talking about. You saw the exit video, you saw the video of what took place, and he said, I mean he didn't even know that he had died. Penny didn't.

The defense disputed a City medicals examiners finding that the choke code killed Neely. They're arguing that he died afterwards. But the prosecutorsaid, well, Penny reacted too forcefully to someone he perceived as a peril, not a person. But the jury said, nolpe innocent, innocent, not guilty, not guilty, So they were acquitted by the jury of both charges.

Good O came after jurors heard from more than forty witnesses, including passengers who described Neely's terrifying outbursts on the train before Perry Penny approached him from behind and took him down at the Broadway Lafayette station. Penny was faced that he was looking at up to fifteen years in prison for the manslaughter charge in four years on the negligent homicide charge. So even even though they threw out. When the jury got they got stuck on the second degree manslaughter, which should have ended the case because then they're like, well, let's we're done.

No the sorrows judge said no, let's I'm gonna let you guys set aside to second degree manslaughter. That's no longer in the mix. Now you just have to decide on the lesser charge, which is against. It is against New York judas jurisprudence.

Citizens, it's not how it happens. When the judge dismissed the second degree amounts on our charge because they were deadlocked hung jury. That should have ended the case period, But they tried to get him however they could. But the good news is he's been found guilty, I'm sorry, innocent on both charges now.

So finally some good news coming out of New York City. Another story, authorities have identified Luigi Maggie I think at Maggione, a twenty six year old former Ivy Leaf student, is the person of interest for who fatally shot United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. According to the New York Post, this is an IVY League kid, very sharp, and according to ABC, he was a coup a customer McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania is the one that actually recognized him from the surveillance footage. So this guy, according to his GitHub profile, he took both an MSc and a BS and Computer science at the University of Pennsylvania.

A radical leftist that was questioning authority and thought that the health industry was hurting people, ripping people off. And so then he just in his own demented way, decided, well, I'm just gonna go and kill one of the executives. I'm gonna I'm gonna assassinate United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson with a ghost gun gun made it home, which then he he he premeditated killed him and then took off and obviously thought he was going to get away with it. But now what's going to happen is he will end up going through a full jury trial and he can he can be even more get more airtime in his sick mind.

So they've they've caught the x Ivy League student for the fatal shooting of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, and Daniel Penny has been found not guilty in the subway choke hold trial. There's some good news. Now, there's a several stories out and I don't know if you saw the NBC the interview the President Trump was with Kristen Welker on NBC Meet the Press, and in one of the gotcha's, she decided to do ask a question with half of the information, and President Trump fielding all this questions, was just answering what she was asking. But here here is just one of the ways that here's an example of how how wicked communists in the media will try to deceive people intentionally.

Welker was asking President Trump about this four fourteenth Amendment, which was written to ensure that the children in former black slaves would be guaranteed citizenship when their children were born. It wouldn't be excluded. Legal aliens have been used by the non governmental organizations and the radical leftists, open borders globalist to try to they've been successfully arguing that if in legal alien gets in the country even for a second and has a baby, the baby's a US citizen because they were born on American soil. President Trump and most logical people have been arguing, no, no, no.

If we look at the arguments that was done on the House and send it floors prior to the passage of the fourteenth Amendment, or they they were just it was brought up on the floor and agreed upon. And of course the author of the fourteenth Amendment that this would not apply to non citizens. Non citizens who had children while in the United States wouldn't their children would not be considered citizens via the fourteenth Amendment. But because that was kind of an assumption that was not written specifically in the fourteenth Amendment, which which again was intended to ensure that former slaves, when they had children, their children would be guaranteed citizenship.

It's been abused now and the courts have never solidly dealt with the issue. So the Trump team during the campaign promised that they were going to end citizenship on day one, but birthright. They call it birthright citizenship on day one. Now, course, to the open border leftists, that's just horrific news.

And so they want to try to win the public the public arguments they want to they want to win in the public square that of course, you can't do this. It's it's in the constitution. It would have the Bill of Rights would have to be you know, it would have to be uh a have to be go through another amendments to modify the fourteenth Amendment. So in the interview on Meet the Press, President Trump answered a lot of questions that very prepared and Welker and I'll let you hear the audio here in a second, but we Welcoer asked to President Trump, you promised and birthright citizenship on day one.

Is that still your plan? Yes? Absolutely, Trump responded. The fourteenth Amendment, though, says that quote all persons born in the United States are citizens unquote. So she was saying to him, she's trying to say that she this is the fourteenth Amendment. It's not, it's part of it, but she's kind of quoting it.

And she continued with President Trump, can you get around the fourteenth Amendment with an executive action? See currently, when legal aliens have children in the country, federal policy has been to recognize them as US citizens. Trump answered, well, we're going to have to get a change. She again shot back, you're going to do this for the executive order executive action. Trump, well, if we if we can through executive action.

Here it is from the Trump War Room on x This is a video of that conversation. You've promised to end birthright citizenship on day one. Is that still your plan? Yeah? Absolutely. The fourteenth Amendment, though, says that quote, all persons born in the United States are citizens.

Can you get around the fourteenth Amendment with change? Will maybe have to go back to the people, But we have to end it with the only country that. Has it through an executive action, or with the only country that has it. Do you know if somebody sets a foot, just a foot, one foot, you don't need to on our land. Congratulations, you are now a citizen of the United States of America.

Yes, we're going to end that because it's ridiculous. Nor executive Well. If we can through executive action. I was going to do it through executive action, but then we had to fix COVID first.

To be honest with you. See, here's the reality. In In the Agenda forty seven plan put out last year, Trump explained he would he would issue an executive order on the subject that would that quote will explain the clear meaning of the fourteenth Amendment. The US citizenship extends only to those born in and is subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.

Unquote. See the reporter Welker. She omitted for those who are subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. The legal alien are subject to the nation they are from.

But because our courts have said, well, if you snuck in, now you are entitled to some constitutional protections. See the system was, our laws were never designed for people to be in illegally. Because now you have a problem. You have protect constitutional protections for citizens, and then you have all these non citizens that are getting immersed into the culture, which is causing constitutional issues.

But she had to you know, she had to just give the part. Well, no, the Constitution says that if you're born here, you're a citizen. All persons born in the United States are citizens. She just forgot to leave the part and are subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.

It's the key clause, the key clause of the fourteenth Amendment the Welker left out. That's all if you read it all together Againeteenth Amendment quote, all persons born are naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside unquote. Trump's won, arguing that constitutional scholars have shown for decades at granting automatic citizenship to children of legal aliens born in the United States is basically it's based on a patently incorrect interpretation of the fourteenth Amendment. This is what we have to deal with again.

The purpose of the fourteenth Amendment had nothing to do with the citizenship of illegal aliens immigrants. Its purpose was to extend a citizenship to people newly freed from slavery whose status was up in question after the infamous dread Scott versus Stanford case. So you're out of slavery, bam, you're born on the soil citizen. Your children that were born to slaves automatically citizens.

Didn't matter how racist the courts were or anyone in the Southern States. It was a great idea and words matter. Mike Lee, who serves on the Judiciary Committee Senate Judiciary Committee, as a former federal prosecutor legal clerk to US Supreme Court Simuelito and imposed an author of multiple books on the Constitution, he put on X in response to her omission of the words about birthright citizenship from the fourteenth Amendment. This says his tweet number one, Meet the Press omits six words about birthright citizenship from the fourteenth Amendment.

The omitted text is set off by asterisks. All persons born in the United States skip the and subject who's the jurisdiction thereof shelby citizens of the United sy You know, just gut it. This is how the left works. This is something that we the people need to be behind.

It's time to fix through the courts. Fourteenth Amendment doesn't need to be modified. It needs to be interpreted correctly, and that will put an end to if someone's in the country, if they're an ambassador from another country, if they're on a business trip, or if they're intentionally trying to sneak their children in like China's been doing. Chinese citizens have been doing in birthing homes in California where they purposely would come to quote unquote visit right before they had their child.

As soon as their child was born, they would get citizenship and play home. Those days would end. Now, let's finish up with this. For some reason, Republican like to cause chaos in their own homes.

The Republicans have the majority in the Senate fifty three to forty six. They could easily push through Trump's nominees. But you know what some of them just want to play. They don't want to play ball.

They want to be difficult. So the news goes back and forth. Trump's in trouble, you know, uh uh Gabbard's in trouble, and and and uh, Pete's in trouble, all these people. Robert Kenny Jr.

Well, here's a little bit of reason from bright bart Senator Tom Cotton. This GOP Senate will confirm all of Trump's nominees. So you know, it's sunny mix. Pe tweeted it out, I expect the Republican Senate to confirm all all of Trump's nominees.

Con acknowledge reats and history showing that if president wants his nominee to get confirmed and sticks by him, as Trump is done with Pete, hegseeth is his nominee to lead the Pentagon. That nominee will receive the support of the party senators. Quote. Of the seventy two cabinet positions nominee since the Clinton transition, only two nominees have received no votes from the president elects party.

Con said in a subsequent tweet that no one should be surprised that the Republican Senator will confirm President Trump's nominees. So that's some good news. If you want change to take place in the United States, make sure your senators, your senators from your states are going to vote yes for Trump's nominees. Let's let Trump put his people in and then let them go to work, and then we can judge them because they're qualified.

Will judge them on their actions, not on the hyperbole in the emotional distress that the left is forcing into the narrative. And lastly, there's a lot of good things happening in America. There's a video I saw that I can I have found over in Ohio. Dozens of volunteers turned up at Austin Town Plaza and their Youngstown last week and they sorted out thirty thousand new toys that are going to be going out to kids the Franklin Graham's Ministry, the Christmas boxes, shoe boxes.

They're shipping them all over the world so that children phil loved on Christmas with the gospel message inside. So what we the people need to do in the United States, it's America as we need to focus on our country, ourselves, our communities, our states, hold the federal government accountable as as Elon Musk and his team over there. Vi VEK reduces significantly the head count and the budget of the United States of America. And regardless of the noise, and regardless of that this ant GISs can't happen.

We're oh, we've never done it this way, and if we cut headcount, we won't be able to offer services. It's a lie. Only six percent of America of federal employees go to an office anymore. You can cut probably half the seventy five percent of them, just like Elon did with Twitter, and Twitter kept running.

See if we if we focus on a relationship with God, loving our wives and children and community and church, then we vote for people who are going to bring everything back to the states. That's why we need to close the Department of Education immediately, and all these other departments need to be stripped back and the rights sent back to the states. And then with a small federal government and states that are controlled by we the people, life, liberty and pursuit of happiness can be pursued again. Because if twenty to thirty million people that are legally here are sent home, housing is going to come.

We're going to have deflation, not inflation. We're going to have costs coming down significantly on rentals and everything else, because this supply will be much more than the demand, which in capitalism means that the market will have to adjust pricing to try to make sure that people will still buy the products because there'll be too many cars, there'll be too many apartments that are that are going to not be filled in anymore with all of these illegal aliens. And then as things come back down and settle, housing will be more affordable, food will be plentiful, so the pricing will come down. Everything will get kind of back to where it was.

And then the criminals with the Department of Justice now and the local sheriffs enforcing law and order, then the crazy states like California and Illinois and New York are going to stand out so much that then there can be investigations into the violations of civil rights of the people in those states and cities from progressive communist policies. But we need to enjoy this month of December. We need to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We need to come together as Americans in the pursuit of liberty and get the government out of our lives.

And then I believe that a church that becomes healthy again can be the safety net for the nation, not the Marxists and communists helping their friends and faunily get rich off of setting up non governmental organizations, which is where a lot of our money has been blown.
